Biography
Reverend Henry Gerald was born and raised in the small town of Mullins, South Carolina, and is the second oldest of five children. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served honorably until his discharge in June 1977.
He received his call to ministry in 2005 and was ordained a Local Elder in 2010 by then-Bishop T. Larry Kirkland. Over the years, his visitation ministry has grown significantly, allowing him to encourage and support individuals during times of illness and confinement. Reverend Gerald currently serves as an Associate Minister at Murph-Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in North Highlands, California.
He is married to Reverend Cynthia Ridgeway-Gerald, and together they have two children and six grandchildren. In his personal time, he enjoys studying genealogy, co-authoring The Geralds of South Carolina and Their Relations, and playing the guitar.
